Steve Kurimay is a well known local guitar tech with over 12 years of repair and performance experience.  Having crafted guitars for three major US custom shops, and guitar tech for many local bands. He has an excellent reputation in the Boston area.  After doing repairs at Belmont music for some time, His client base has a wide range of musicians.

The repair shop will primarily be handling guitar and bass setups, as well as, electronic repairs on jacks, pick ups, pots, etc.

We repair electric and acoustic guitars. Electric basses, PA systems, amplifiers and other electronic equipment.

Guitar Repair Rates:
Restring: electric and acoustic: $10
Restring: classical: $18

Basic Setup: ………………………… $40

• Thorough cleaning of all parts
• Wood oil treatment
• Action and intonation adjustments
• Electrical components cleaned and pickups adjusted
• Tuning machines lubricated
• Lacquer Polish
• Case Vacuumed

Deluxe Setup: ……………………….. $110

• Basic setup
• Leveling and re-crowning of frets
• Saddle adjustment or replacement (Acoustic)
• Guitar reconditioned to best possible playing condition

Other Repairs:

Replacement of potentiometers or jacks: $25.00

Bone nut or saddle replacement (Acoustic): $60.00

Tuning machine installation: $25.00

Replacement electric pickup installation: $45.00-1, $60-2, $65-3

Acoustic pickup installation , under saddle: $90.00

All other repairs completed by estimate. Normal electronic repairs are $75.00 per hour.

Estimates on electronics is $25.00 and will be applied to the repair if we service it.
